A well-established law firm in Frederick, Maryland is seeking an experienced Probate Attorney to lead its Probate and Estate Administration department. Duties

  • Oversee all probate and estate administration cases to ensure legal compliance and timely execution

  • Supervise a team of three probate paralegals, reviewing and approving their work

  • Prepare and file probate accountings, inventories, and other required documents in accordance with court guidelines

  • Provide strategic support and legal insight to the estate planning team when needed

  • Ensure efficient case management and client communication across all probate matters

  • Optionally participate in business development to expand department reach and client base

Requirements

  • Substantial experience practicing probate and estate administration law

  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a legal setting

  • Ability to manage multiple cases with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong client-relations mindset and effective communication with clients and legal staff

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Maryland State Bar
