Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney

A law firm in Oshkosh, WI, is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney with a focus on bankruptcy and transactional law. The successful candidate will possess strong writing, research, and analytical skills and will be able to manage complex legal matters effectively. Wisconsin Bar admission is required.

Duties:

• Manage bankruptcy and transactional law cases, including drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and bankruptcy petitions.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case development and client advice.
• Prepare and file legal pleadings, motions, and briefs related to bankruptcy and transactional issues.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and other legal settings.
• Provide legal counsel on bankruptcy and transactional matters, negotiating terms and settlements as necessary.
• Organize and manage case files, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop and implement effective case strategies.
• Stay current with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Experience in bankruptcy and transactional law.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues and manage cases independently.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Wisconsin Bar admission is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the state of Wisconsin, in good standing.
