Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Tax Associate Attorney with a focus on tax credits and impact finance to join their Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions utilizing new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and renewable energy investment tax credits.

Duties

  • Advise clients on transactional tax matters.
  • Engage in community development transactions.
  • Utilize tax credits in financial strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Tax Credit & Impact Finance group.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of transactional tax experience preferred.
  • Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs is advantageous.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Active license to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
