Job Overview:

A Covington, PA-based law firm is actively seeking an experienced attorney with a strong background in family law to join its dynamic legal team. This role centers on managing complex family law matters from inception to resolution, including litigation, client advisement, and preparation for court proceedings. Ideal candidates will be detail-driven, organized, and capable of working independently within a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to family law

• Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Meet with clients to gather case facts, explain legal options, and develop strategies

• Manage document production and exchange in discovery

• Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and trial materials

• Appear in court for hearings and motions, as needed

• Maintain proactive oversight of case files and trial readiness

• Collaborate with support staff for scheduling, communications, and documentation

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania

• Demonstrated experience handling family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support cases

• Familiarity with trial preparation and courtroom procedures

• Ability to manage deadlines and deliver quality work with minimal supervision

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (Required)
