Job Overview:

A well-established law firm based in North Hollywood, CA, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented associate to support its plaintiff-side personal injury practice. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with managing various facets of injury-related litigation, including research, case preparation, document drafting, and client interaction. This position offers a dynamic setting for individuals aiming to build hands-on litigation experience and contribute meaningfully to client advocacy.

Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support trial and settlement strategies

  • Draft legal pleadings, pre-trial motions, and discovery-related documents

  • Organize and manage case files throughout the litigation lifecycle

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, offering updates and obtaining case-critical information

  • Assist in preparing settlement demands and negotiating with insurance adjusters and opposing parties

  • Coordinate trial readiness efforts, including preparation of exhibits, binders, and witness documentation

  • Monitor and stay abreast of evolving developments in personal injury law and litigation practices

Requirements:

  • Previous hands-on experience working within a personal injury or civil litigation practice

  • In-depth familiarity with litigation procedures, case development, and discovery workflows

  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing court filings

  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities with clients and legal stakeholders

  • Skilled in conducting legal research and synthesizing findings to support case theory

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
