Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Immigration Law to join their team in San Antonio, TX. The role involves working in a dynamic environment where meaningful advocacy is prioritized. Duties

  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to develop case strategies.
  • Manage diverse immigration matters from start to finish.
  • Handle family-based petitions, federal immigration litigation, and removal defense.
  • Draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and responses to NOIDs and RFEs.
  • Prepare clients for court and USCIS interviews; attend hearings and interviews as needed.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and maintain timely communication with clients.
  • Keep accurate case files and notes using the client management system.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor and active bar admission (any state).
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ethical, motivated, and able to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
  • Immigration law experience highly preferred, especially in family-based and deportation defense.
  • Previous case management experience a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

  • Active bar admission in any state.
