Job Overview: This position is for a Trust, Estate, and Inheritance Dispute Associate to join a distinguished law firm in Los Angeles. The successful candidate will handle a variety of trust, estate, and inheritance litigation matters, providing high-net-worth individuals, families, charities, and corporate trustees with expert advice and representation.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Handle a broad range of trust, estate, and inheritance litigation matters including will and trust contests, accounting disputes, elder abuse, conservatorship disputes, and breach of duty actions
  • Advise and represent high-net-worth individuals, families, charities, and corporate trustees
  • Manage all aspects of trust and probate disputes, from case review and strategy to preparing for hearings, trials, and mediations
  • Contribute to the development of business and client relationships, including writing articles, attending events, and networking with private wealth contacts
  • Engage in contentious trust administration and probate-related filings when required
  • Participate in client meetings, develop case strategy, and liaise with internal teams and external counsel
  • Work collaboratively within a team, ensuring client service and successful case outcomes

Requirements:

  • Admitted to and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • 2 to 4 years of applicable litigation experience, including researching, drafting, and discovery
  • Experience with probate court or trust, estate, or wealth planning matters is highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as an integrated team member
  • Willingness to work on urgent matters and trials, with occasional evening or weekend work
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work model and collaborating remotely with team members across multiple offices
  • Proven ability to contribute to business development initiatives and build client relationships

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • California State Bar Admission
