Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Construction Associate with 3-4 years of experience in construction transactional law to join its Real Estate Group in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and negotiating contracts for commercial, energy, and large infrastructure projects, with a preference for those familiar with EPC contracts in the energy sector.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements across various industry sectors.
  • Draft and negotiate EPC contracts on large infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients regarding claims management and construction defect claims.
  • Support construction teams in litigation and arbitration matters, including drafting pleadings and participating in hearings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant law experience.
  • Experience in a large or mid-sized law firm preferred.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Education

  • JD degree is required.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the state in which you are applying.
