Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Family Law Attorney to join its Family Law practice group in Reno, NV. The role involves assisting clients with various family law matters, including paternity, guardianship, juvenile delinquency, emancipation, custody, child support, adoption, dissolution, and divorce.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Draft and review written discovery, including e-discovery.
  • Draft, respond to, and argue motions.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions.
  • Appear in court and mediations.
  • Communicate efficiently with clients.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and problem-solving.
  • Market legal services to prospective clients.
  • Generate and distribute billable work.
  • Maintain a respected reputation among legal peers.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience as an Associate Attorney.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong legal research skills.
  • Admission or eligibility for bar admission in the practicing state.

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
