A law firm in Quincy, MA, is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Attorney to manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception to resolution. The candidate will interact with clients, conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court proceedings. The role involves collaborating with a dedicated staff, including pre-litigation and litigation paralegals.

 

Job Details:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
  • Interact with clients, answer questions, and provide updates on case progress.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law for personal injury cases.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and pleadings.
  • Manage the discovery process.
  • Negotiate with opposing parties, insurance companies, and defense attorneys for fair settlements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Analyze strengths and weaknesses of cases, identify legal issues, and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Conduct case evaluations to assess the likelihood of success, potential damages, and associated risks.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for effective case management.
  • Trial experience is preferred.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar.
