Associate Attorney needed for Towson office

A law firm in Towson, MD, is seeking an Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation and corporate matters. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of procedural rules, excellent drafting skills, and be admitted to practice in Maryland. Additional skills in marketing, client interactions, and research are essential. Pennsylvania Bar admission and a book of business are considered a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Prepare sophisticated written communications, including briefs and client correspondence.
• Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings, as necessary.
• Manage a caseload involving civil litigation and corporate matters effectively.
• Meet with clients to discuss case details, provide legal advice, and manage expectations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships through regular communication and updates.
• Utilize marketing skills to promote the firm’s services and contribute to business development.
• Leverage computer skills to manage case documentation and utilize legal research tools.
• Assist senior attorneys with case strategy development and trial preparation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Maryland.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation and corporate matters.
• Strong understanding of procedural rules and legal drafting.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland.
• Pennsylvania Bar admission is a plus.
