A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Associate specializing in patent prosecution to join its team in Kansas City. Duties

  • Handle strategic aspects of multiple legal matters from inception to conclusion.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm.
  • Experience in preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications.
  • Ability to utilize support staff or junior associates effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor
  • Bachelor's or higher in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions.
  • Registered to practice before the USPTO.
