The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases, with a focus on trial work. A minimum of one year of trial experience is essential, with a focus on personal injury matters such as automobile accidents, catastrophic injuries, and medical malpractice.

Duties:

  • Represent plaintiffs in a variety of complex personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, and wrongful death claims.
  • Conduct legal research and draft essential legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage caseloads from initiation to resolution, ensuring deadlines are met and client goals are aligned with legal strategies.
  • Take depositions, prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, and execute trial strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, consultants, and expert witnesses to strengthen case foundations.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the litigation process.
  • Stay current with laws and precedents affecting complex personal injury litigation.
  • Pursue informal resolution tactics where applicable, and handle complex legal issues independently.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and collaborate within a team to ensure top-quality outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of legal experience.
  • At least one year of litigation experience in California state and federal courts is preferred.
  • Experience in Plaintiff-side tort litigation, including wrongful death and premises liability cases, is a plus.
  • Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
  • Professional affiliations or certifications are preferred.

Skills:

  • Expertise in legal research and document preparation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with mediation, arbitration, and trial strategies.
