Associate - Tax

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate or tax counsel to join its Tax group in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm, in-house, or tax consulting role, focusing on renewable energy tax credits.

Duties

• Collaborate with team members to support clients in tax-related matters.
• Document and negotiate tax equity transactions.
• Develop strategies for monetizing investment tax credits.
• Draft tax credit transfer agreements for sponsors or investors.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of investment tax credits.
• Experience with tax equity transactions preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
