A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Attorney, leveraging extensive legal expertise to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. This role involves representing clients in a variety of family law cases, providing legal counsel, drafting documents, conducting research, and more.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Attorney to strategize and execute case plans.
  • Represent clients in family law cases such as divorce, child custody, and domestic violence proceedings.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and stay updated on family law regulations and precedents.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their rights and obligations.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain proficiency in tracking billable hours and utilizing legal technology effectively.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in family law cases (non-negotiable).
  • Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar.
  • Prior management experience or similar leadership roles are preferred.
