Job Title: Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in El Segundo, CA, with a growing practice dedicated exclusively to family law, is seeking to expand its team with the addition of a Family Law Associate. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a licensed California attorney eager to build or advance a career in family law. The ideal candidate is personable, proactive, and organized, with a strong interest in working collaboratively and taking ownership of a diverse caseload. The role provides substantial litigation exposure and the chance to gain hands-on experience in complex family law matters.

Duties:

  • Manage a personal caseload involving divorce, child custody, support, and related matters

  • Draft and review motions, pleadings, and discovery documents

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

  • Negotiate settlements and assist with litigation strategy

  • Argue motions and participate in hearings and trials as second chair

  • Coordinate with team members in a hybrid office environment to ensure client needs are met

  • Contribute to a collegial and supportive firm culture

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in California

  • 1-3 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated interest in family law

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and deadlines efficiently

  • Willingness to work onsite at least several days per week for collaboration and mentorship

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • California State Bar membership in good standing
