Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Regulatory Investigations, Strategy & Enforcement Associate in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience with State Attorneys General, handling civil investigative demands, multistate investigations, and negotiating resolutions. This role involves advising clients on regulatory enforcement matters and related litigation, with significant client-facing responsibilities.

Duties

  • Respond to civil investigative demands and coordinate multistate investigations.
  • Negotiate resolutions in complex regulatory enforcement matters.
  • Advise clients on internal investigations and related litigation.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with State AG offices.
  • Support strategic business development for the practice group.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of experience with State Attorneys General.
  • Experience in a State Attorney General's office preferred.
  • Familiarity with investigations, enforcement, and multistate coordination.
  • Strong writing skills and a publication record or aptitude for thought leadership.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of residence and work.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of residence and work.

  • Ability to manage complex investigations and enforcement matters.
