A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its legal team, focusing on defending individuals facing creditor lawsuits. Duties

  • Represent clients in creditor litigation matters, handling cases from inception to resolution.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.

  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients’ best interests.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the litigation process.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine case strategies and maintain high standards of legal representation.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey (additional state licenses are a plus).
  • Experience in civil litigation, with a preference for debtor/creditor or collections-related cases.
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to develop creative legal strategies.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the New Jersey State Bar.
