Job Overview:
A law firm based in Houston, TX, specializing in civil litigation and transactional law, is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle a mix of litigation and transactional matters, work with a diverse client base, and contribute to the firm’s success with strong legal acumen and exceptional communication skills. Duties:

• Manage and oversee case files for both litigation and transactional matters
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and contracts
• Provide clients with regular updates and manage communications effectively
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and meetings as needed
• Conduct legal research and provide insightful recommendations
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize and develop case strategies
• Assist in negotiations and settlement discussions
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and good standing with the Texas State Bar
• 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation and/or transactional law
• Strong writing and legal research skills
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar
