Job Overview: A recruiting firm is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney on behalf of a well-established law firm in Texas. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving business disputes, personal injury claims, real estate matters, and other civil litigation cases. This role involves handling cases from inception through resolution, including trial and post-trial matters, offering the attorney a comprehensive litigation experience.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of civil litigation cases from initial assessment to final resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Handle discovery, including preparing and responding to requests.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Develop case strategies and provide sound legal counsel to clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and pursue favorable resolutions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure cohesive case management.
  • Stay informed on relevant laws and regulatory changes impacting cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of five years of civil litigation experience.
  • Proven trial experience and a record of successful case outcomes.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team setting.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
