Duties

• Represent employers and insurers in workers' compensation litigation matters
• Develop and execute defense strategies tailored to client needs
• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and appeals
• Provide legal counsel and risk management advice to employers on workers' compensation issues
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and arbitration
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and support staff
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations in Florida

Requirements

• 20 years of experience in workers' compensation defense
• Extensive litigation and trial experience in defending employers
• Proven ability to manage complex and high-volume caseloads
• Strong client-relations and negotiation skills
• Leadership abilities with experience mentoring legal teams

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar
