Job Overview

A law firm seeks a licensed Senior Litigator to join their team in Texas. The role involves managing cases with a focus on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters, ensuring the protection of client interests in litigation proceedings and general collection cases.

Duties

  • Handle case load and bill time hourly.
  • Attend mediations, trials, and hearings.
  • Travel as needed for case requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of eight years of litigation/courtroom experience; foreclosure experience a plus.
  • Member of the state Bar with all necessary licensing and continuing legal education.
  • Proficient in legal research, writing, and taking & defending depositions.
  • Skilled in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and other legal documents.
  • Proficiency with Fastcase or Westlaw.
  • Well-versed in rules of evidence and civil procedure in state and federal court.

  • Bachelor's Degree
