Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced mid-level employment law attorney with over five years of experience to join its growing practice in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling clients and litigating wage and hour cases, class actions, and employment discrimination and wrongful termination matters in both state and federal courts.

Duties

• Counsel clients on employment law matters.
• Litigate wage and hour, class action, and discrimination cases.
• Respond to administrative charges and manage pre-litigation disputes.
• Prepare responsive pleadings and engage in motion practice.
• Develop policies and conduct compliance training.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in employment law.
• Familiarity with California state and federal courts.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA, and wage and hour compliance.
• Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
