Duties

  • Independently manage a caseload of 50-80 personal injury cases from intake through resolution.
  • Negotiate settlements with adjusters and defense counsel to maximize client compensation.
  • Advocate for clients by effectively communicating with medical providers, opposing counsel, and insurance companies.
  • Conduct legal research, draft demand letters, and develop case strategies to strengthen claims.
  • Assist with litigation overflow, including motions, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Utilize case management software and legal technology to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Uphold and enhance the firm's reputation for excellence, professionalism, and client advocacy.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in New Mexico and in good standing with the state bar.
  • 3-5 years of personal injury experience with solid litigation skills and aptitude to improve.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and case management skills.
  • Independent yet collaborative, with the ability to handle cases confidently while working with the team.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using case management software, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Passionate about helping injured clients and committed to achieving real results.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New Mexico.

Skills

  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
