A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Woodland Hills, CA, to join their civil litigation defense team. This role offers an opportunity to handle insurance defense matters in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Independently manage a caseload involving auto, general, and premises liability defense.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
• Develop and execute effective defense strategies, providing sound legal advice to clients.
• Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with billing guidelines while maintaining high productivity.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on insurance defense.
• Strong analytical, legal writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work independently.
• Strong client communication and case management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
