Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Midlevel Tax Associate to join its office in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of experience in transactional tax matters, with a preference for those experienced in renewable energy projects and credits, including tax equity and credit transfers.

Duties

• Draft and review partnership, joint venture, and limited liability company agreements.
• Handle tax aspects of equity and debt financing transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate tax provisions in merger, stock purchase, and asset purchase agreements.

Requirements

• Four to six years of experience in transactional tax matters.
• Experience with renewable energy projects and credits preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
