Location

Duties

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, and support issues

  • Handle criminal law cases, including arraignments, omnibus hearings, and trials

  • Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and legal briefs

  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies

  • Work directly with clients to understand their legal needs and provide responsive service

  • Assist in maintaining case files and preparing for court appearances

Requirements

  • 0–3 years of experience in family or criminal law (externships, internships, or clerkships may qualify)

  • Willingness to live and work in Southern Minnesota

  • Client-focused mindset and commitment to delivering quality legal services

  • Ability to handle projects independently and meet deadlines

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Recent graduates or July 2025 Bar exam takers encouraged to apply

Certifications

  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar, or eligibility to sit for the July 2025 Minnesota Bar Exam
