Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Attorney in Washington, DC, with a commitment to social justice and a passion for employment law. A 1440 billable hour requirement and client development work are expected.

Duties

  • Handle federal sector EEO and MSPB matters, sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases.
  • Manage employee discipline, whistleblower issues, contracts, and other employment-related matters.
  • Conduct negotiations, discovery, motions practice, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with clients and other attorneys on cases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Self-starter with a team-oriented approach.
  • Outstanding research and writing skills.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Experience in employment litigation preferred.
  • Familiarity with NetDocuments is a plus.
  • Published attorney or judicial clerkship experience is advantageous.
