Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Texas Litigation Attorney in Irving, TX. The role involves representing mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes, and real estate litigation. Responsibilities include court appearances, case strategy development, document drafting, and settlement negotiations.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of contested matters for mortgage lenders and investors.
• Appear in court for routine and contested hearings, arguing necessary motions.
• Communicate regularly with clients for updates and case resolutions.
• Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents.
• Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.

Requirements

• J.D. degree, licensed in Texas, and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
• 2-5 years of relevant litigation experience, 5-8+ years preferred.
• 2-5 years of motion practice experience, 5-8+ years preferred.
• 2-5 years of courtroom experience, 5-8+ years preferred.
• Knowledge of Texas Mortgage Foreclosure Law.
• Knowledge of Texas Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.
• Previous experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property is preferred but not required.
