A law firm is seeking a Trust and Estates Associate Attorney for their Lakeland, FL office. The candidate will work with existing clients and must be admitted to the Florida Bar. They should have expertise in estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration. The role involves providing legal guidance for estate planning, business formation, special needs planning, and similar legal areas. Creating legal documents such as trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, as well as business formation and estate planning documentation. Working with clients to develop and execute plans that protect and preserve assets. A Tax LLM and experience with income tax issues is required. Other necessary skills include a keen attention to detail and the capability of successfully working on multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance for estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration.
  • Create legal documents such as trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and business formation documentation.
  • Work with clients to develop and execute asset protection and preservation plans.
  • Handle special needs planning and other related legal areas.
  • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and staff to ensure effective case management.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
  • 5-15 years of experience in trust and estates law.
  • Expertise in estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration.
  • Tax LLM and experience with income tax issues.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Tax LLM preferred.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar.
