A law firm seeks an Employment and Labor Associate to join their team in Short Hills, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess 2-6 years of experience in employment practice, with a strong foundation in employment law and litigation. This role involves working closely with partners and clients, providing legal counsel, and managing employment litigation matters.

Duties

• Provide day-to-day employment and human resources counseling for clients.
• Review, analyze, and draft employment agreements, handbooks, and policies.
• Handle employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits.
• Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and draft motions.
• Advise on traditional labor and NLRB matters.
• Conduct due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
• Formulate legal strategies for litigation matters.
• Work on internal investigations and other matters as needed.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of employment litigation and counseling experience.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the practicing state.
• Trial experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the practicing state.
