Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Associate for its Short Hills, NJ office. The role involves handling complex employment litigation and providing employment law advice and counsel. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation management, legal research, and drafting, as well as advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions.

Duties

• Manage litigation and conduct legal research and drafting.
• Handle cases involving wage disputes, harassment, and discrimination.
• Provide employment law advice and counsel.
• Draft and negotiate employment and severance agreements.
• Conduct due diligence on employment aspects of transactions.
• Advise on restrictive covenants and employee mobility.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
• Experience in defending complex employment litigation.
• Ability to provide day-to-day employment advice to HR professionals.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in New Jersey and/or New York
