Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to work remotely in Eastern Time. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of legal matters with a focus on VA Claim Appeals. The role provides hands-on experience and professional development in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on Federal laws and US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims rulings.
  • Review adjudications by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal briefs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Support litigation efforts, including case management and trial preparation.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting operations.
  • Make decisions on the best path forward for clients.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • At least one year of experience as an intern or practicing attorney with an active license.
  • VA-accredited or willing to obtain accreditation prior to starting.

Education
