A law firm seeks a Mid-Level or Senior Litigation Attorney in Phoenix to focus on defending complex product liability matters and commercial disputes. The role involves collaboration with policyholders, brokers, and insurers, both domestic and international, in handling latent insurance claims.

Duties

  • Take depositions, attend hearings, and mediations as required.
  • Draft pleadings and briefs.
  • Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
  • Draft interrogatories and document demands.
  • Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
  • Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

  • Admission to practice in California is required.
  • Commercial litigation experience is required.
  • Asbestos/toxic tort experience is ideal.
  • Courtroom experience including motions is required.
  • Trial experience is required.

Education

  • J.D./LLM

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
