Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Greenbelt, MD is seeking an experienced Transactional Attorney to join its Corporate and Commercial Real Estate practice group. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in business law, commercial real estate transactions, and lender representation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong client-service orientation, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of transactional matters in both real estate and financial contexts.

Location:

  • Greenbelt, Maryland

Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, and development

  • Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements related to corporate and real estate matters

  • Provide counsel on business transactions, including entity formation, corporate governance, and financing

  • Represent lenders and borrowers in financial transactions

  • Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

  • Advise clients on strategic legal and business issues

  • Collaborate with other attorneys on complex, high-value matters

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate and business transactional law

  • Experience representing lenders in financial transactions

  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions concurrently

  • Client-focused with a commitment to high-quality service

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Maryland

  • Admission to the D.C. and/or Virginia Bar is a plus

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial real estate and business law

  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and legal drafting

  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
