Duties:

  • Lead and oversee litigation cases on behalf of nonprofit organizations.

  • Conduct legal research to support ongoing cases and provide counsel to clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on nonprofit organizations or civil rights issues.
  • Strong legal research skills and the ability to distill complex legal information into actionable advice.
  • High comfort level with maintaining strict data security and confidentiality protocols.
  • A passion for social justice and advocacy.
  • Experience working with nonprofit clients or in a general counsel role is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically and plan for future legal challenges.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and clients simultaneously.
  • Skilled in legal research and document drafting.
