Associate Attorney needed for Pasadena office

Job Overview:
A Pasadena-based boutique law firm, recognized for its focus on complex domestic relations matters, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to develop and refine trial skills while working on emotionally and legally intricate family law cases. Duties:

• Handle contested family law cases involving custody, support, and property disputes

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, declarations, and settlement agreements

• Prepare for and attend court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials

• Perform comprehensive legal research utilizing platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw

• Engage directly with clients to provide legal guidance and develop case strategies

• Participate in negotiation sessions to resolve disputes outside of court

• Maintain detailed case files and track critical deadlines

• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional client service

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar

• Between 1-5 years of experience practicing law, preferably with litigation exposure

• Demonstrated interest or background in family law is considered a plus

• Capable of managing multiple active cases with minimal supervision

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active California Bar License
