The attorney will manage personal injury cases during the litigation phase, developing strategies, overseeing discovery, and negotiating settlements. Duties

  • Manage a docket of plaintiff personal injury cases from filing through trial.
  • Handle depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials with increasing independence.
  • Develop case strategy and oversee discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and guidance.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and advocate zealously for clients.
  • Work closely with experts, investigators, and medical professionals to build strong cases.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas (or eligible for admission).
  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience, with some experience in personal injury or plaintiff-side work.
  • Comfortable handling depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas (or eligible for admission).

Skills

  • Excellent oral advocacy, legal writing, and research skills.
  • Ability to develop case strategy and manage a docket independently.
  • Strong client communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
