A law firm seeks a Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Attorney in Houston, TX. The attorney will manage personal injury cases during the litigation phase, developing strategies, overseeing discovery, and negotiating settlements. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining client communication.

Duties

• Manage a docket of plaintiff personal injury cases from filing through trial.
• Handle depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials with increasing independence.
• Develop case strategy and oversee discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and guidance.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and advocate zealously for clients.
• Work closely with experts, investigators, and medical professionals to build strong cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas (or eligible for admission).
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience, with some experience in personal injury or plaintiff-side work.
• Comfortable handling depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas (or eligible for admission).
