Job Overview:
A law firm located in Waco, Texas is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The position will primarily focus on handling insurance defense cases for national insurers, with responsibilities spanning all stages of civil litigation, from discovery through trial.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including personal injury cases
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties
• Handle motion practice, including filing and arguing motions
• Prepare cases for trial and represent clients in court
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal issues
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date case files and documentation
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on ongoing cases

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation preferred
• Strong litigation and trial preparation skills
• Comfortable with client interaction and providing strategic advice
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
