Job Title: Probate Dispute Attorney (Hybrid)

Job Overview:
A Clearwater-based law firm is actively seeking a seasoned attorney with a focus on probate litigation to support clients navigating complex disputes related to wills, trusts, and estate matters. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a strong litigation background and an aptitude for client advocacy in emotionally sensitive cases. The position offers a hybrid work structure and requires proficiency in managing contested probate matters from intake through trial or resolution.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a variety of probate-related disputes, including will contests, fiduciary breach claims, and trust litigation

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to formulate strategies and draft persuasive arguments

  • Prepare pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and related court filings

  • Appear in court for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials in probate proceedings

  • Advise clients on the nuances of probate administration and estate conflict resolution

  • Work collaboratively with legal support teams to manage documentation and workflow

  • Negotiate settlements in a manner aligned with client interests and legal standards

  • Maintain compliance with billing protocols and ensure detailed case documentation

  • Keep abreast of legal developments in probate and estate law

  • Build a strong rapport with clients through timely updates and transparent communication

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience specifically in probate, trust, or estate disputes

  • Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing

  • Demonstrated experience in contested probate matters, including fiduciary litigation

  • High-level proficiency in drafting complex legal documents and managing case files

  • Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills

  • Capacity to prioritize multiple matters under tight timelines

  • Familiarity with legal research platforms and case management tools

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida

Skills:
