Job Overview

A national law firm is seeking a Business Immigration Associate with at least two years of experience to join its Labor and Employment practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about business immigration law and is looking to join a collaborative team serving corporate clients in a variety of industries. The role offers a mix of sophisticated case work, client interaction, and cross-office collaboration in a hybrid work environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and file PERM labor certifications, H-1B, L-1, and other employment-based immigration petitions

  • Manage a high-volume caseload with careful attention to detail and deadlines

  • Draft legal documentation including petition letters, supporting evidence, and compliance materials

  • Conduct legal research on immigration regulations and policies

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on strategic planning for client matters

  • Communicate with corporate clients regarding case strategy, compliance requirements, and documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business immigration law

  • Prior experience with PERM, H-1B, and L-1 filings is required

  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent client service

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic record required

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Good standing with applicable state bar

Skills

  • Strong legal writing, drafting, and research skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

  • Ability to manage workflow independently and in a team environment

  • Familiarity with immigration case management systems and procedures

  • Client-focused mindset with responsiveness and professionalism
