Job Overview:

A prominent Baltimore-based law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with experience in personal injury and workers' compensation matters. This position offers the opportunity to join a dedicated legal team and manage a diverse caseload from initial investigation through resolution. Ideal for a self-driven legal professional looking to grow within a supportive and client-focused environment.

Duties:

  • Oversee all phases of personal injury and workers’ compensation claims, including intake, investigation, discovery, settlement, and trial.

  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and settlement documentation.

  • Provide clear legal counsel and strategic advice to clients throughout their cases.

  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other proceedings as needed.

  • Negotiate settlements and engage in mediation or arbitration to resolve disputes.

  • Collaborate with litigation support staff and colleagues for efficient case resolution.

  • Conduct legal research and stay informed on changes in relevant laws and court procedures.

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Maryland (Required)

  • License to practice in the District of Columbia (Preferred)

  • Minimum of 2-10 years of litigation experience with a focus on personal injury law

  • Strong command of litigation procedures and personal injury statutes

  • Ability to handle a high-volume caseload independently

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Maryland Bar Admission (Required)

  • DC Bar Admission (Preferred)

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal drafting, research, and oral advocacy

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluent or proficient in Spanish (Preferred)

  • Proactive, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to client service
