Job Overview

A well-established immigration law firm is seeking a Remote Immigration Attorney with at least 2 years of EOIR experience and strong legal writing skills. This full-time role is ideal for a licensed attorney passionate about immigration law and serving underserved communities. Fluency in Spanish is required, as is the ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently in a fully remote environment.

  • Indianapolis, IN

Duties

  • Draft legal documents such as pretrial statements, motions, briefs, BIA appeals, and post-conviction relief cases

  • Conduct packet reviews including legal forms, affidavits, motions, and statements

  • Occasionally represent clients in bond hearings and detained individual hearings

  • Serve as backup for the ICE docket and assist EOIR team during low writing volume

  • Communicate with clients regarding procedural updates and case progress

  • Provide mentorship to paralegals and collaborate with team members

  • Maintain accurate case documentation and time entries in case management software

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active license in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction accepted)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in EOIR immigration law

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload independently

  • Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking required)

  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Passion for immigration law and service to underrepresented communities

  • Strong communication and time management skills
