Family Law Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a seasoned Family Law Attorney with approximately twelve years of experience handling complex and high-conflict family law matters. This role involves leading cases involving divorce, custody, support, and related proceedings while providing strategic counsel and advocacy throughout all stages of representation. Location: Woburn

Duties

• Manage complex family law matters including divorce, custody, visitation, support, and property division
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, separation agreements, and settlement documents
• Develop case strategy and provide legal guidance on high-conflict and sensitive matters
• Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys or support staff, as applicable

Requirements

• 12 years of experience practicing family law
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated family law cases
• Significant courtroom and negotiation experience
• Strong professional judgment and discretion in sensitive matters

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (in good standing)
