Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Attorney in Sarasota, FL, to assist clients in achieving favorable legal outcomes. The role involves advocating for clients, advising on legal strategies, and mentoring junior associates to uphold the firm's standards of excellence.

Duties

  • Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Stay informed on changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys in conflict resolution techniques.
  • Conduct research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior associate attorney.
  • Experience in trial, mediation, and arbitration representation.

Education

  • Completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree.
  • 3-year law degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to local and state bar associations.
  • Active license in good standing with The Florida Bar.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple files.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
