Job Overview:

Location:

Duties:

  • Conduct initial consultations and identify appropriate estate planning strategies

  • Advise clients on trust structures, wills, and related legal instruments

  • Draft estate planning documents, including various trusts, wills, and ancillary documents

  • Clearly explain complex legal concepts and the structure of estate plans to clients

  • Manage caseload independently, meeting deadlines and prioritizing efficiently

  • Maintain communication with clients, accountants, and financial advisors as necessary

  • Provide regular updates on caseload in weekly review meetings

  • Foster client relationships and contribute to client development efforts

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California

  • Minimum of 3 years of estate planning experience preferred

  • Proven ability to manage matters from consultation to execution

  • Strong understanding of estate planning concepts and document drafting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution

Certifications:

  • California State Bar admission (required)

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, legal timekeeping, and case management software

  • Working knowledge of finance, investment principles, and tax implications in estate planning

  • Experience with WealthCounsel drafting software preferred

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
