Duties

• Oversee probate proceedings for clients involved in personal injury cases.
• Advise clients and families on estate administration, guardianships, and settlement distributions.
• Prepare and file probate documents, including petitions, inventories, and accountings.
• Coordinate with personal injury attorneys to ensure timely resolution of probate matters.
• Represent clients in probate court hearings and settlement approval proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties regarding probate issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all probate cases.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal probate laws and regulations.
• Provide compassionate guidance to clients during emotionally challenging times.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Ohio probate law and procedures.
• Experience handling probate matters related to personal injury settlements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Ohio Bar license.

Skills

• 2+ years of probate law experience preferred; personal injury experience a plus.
