Duties:

  • Manage and contribute to various stages of construction and commercial dispute matters

  • Conduct legal research and draft substantive motions, pleadings, and correspondence

  • Participate in case strategy, pre-trial litigation, and resolution planning

  • Handle discovery processes, including electronic discovery and depositions

  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals across practice areas and offices

  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and courtroom proceedings

  • Provide risk assessments and recommendations regarding potential or ongoing litigation

  • Maintain timely and effective communication with clients on case developments

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial or construction-related litigation

  • Familiarity with state and federal court litigation procedures

  • Demonstrated ability to manage discovery, depositions, and pre-trial motions

  • Licensed to practice in Ohio, or licensed elsewhere with eligibility to waive in

  • Proven record of strong writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Capable of working independently while thriving in a team-based setting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Ohio, or eligibility to transfer admission

Skills:

  • Advanced legal analysis and research capabilities

  • Clear, persuasive communication—both written and verbal

  • Meticulous attention to detail and case strategy
