This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated legal professional who thrives in courtroom advocacy and has substantial experience with civil litigation related to property and casualty matters. The role involves hands-on case management, litigation strategy development, and client advisory, with a focus on insurance-related disputes in Georgia.

Duties:

  • Lead litigation efforts in first-party insurance matters, representing individuals and entities in coverage disputes and property damage claims

  • Strategize and execute all phases of litigation including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial

  • Provide detailed interpretation of policy coverage and evaluate legal positions concerning disputed insurance claims

  • Prepare comprehensive legal documents and filings in compliance with Georgia procedural rules

  • Deliver expert legal counsel to clients on coverage assessments, settlement negotiations, and litigation risks

  • Collaborate with claims professionals, adjusters, and underwriters to align legal strategy with broader case objectives

  • Stay abreast of relevant changes in Georgia insurance law and apply insights to enhance client outcomes

  • Attend court proceedings, mediations, and depositions across multiple jurisdictions in Georgia

  • Identify legal and regulatory risks, advising clients on mitigation strategies to reduce future liability exposure

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Georgia, in good standing

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in insurance litigation, with direct exposure to property and casualty claims

  • Demonstrated courtroom experience and comfort with managing a high-volume caseload

  • Deep familiarity with Georgia-specific insurance laws and litigation procedures

  • Proven track record of strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment

  • Prior experience working with insurance carriers or corporate clients preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Georgia State Bar license required and in good standing

Skills:
