Job Overview:
A respected law firm specializing in banking and financial services is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This role focuses on representing financial institutions in the enforcement of loan documents, foreclosures, evictions, collections, bankruptcy, and related civil litigation in both state and federal courts. This position is ideal for a highly motivated attorney with significant litigation experience, particularly within financial services law.

Location:

  • Oxford, MA

Duties:

  • Represent financial institutions in litigation related to enforcement of loan documents, foreclosures, and evictions

  • Handle all aspects of civil and commercial litigation in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts

  • Develop and implement case strategies

  • Conduct discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

  • Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and independently

  • Collaborate with litigation team members and support staff

  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials as first-chair counsel

  • Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and legal guidance

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience

  • Handling foreclosures, landlord/tenant matters, collections, and bankruptcy preferred

  • Proven track record in first-chair litigation roles, including courtroom and trial experience

  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a high-volume practice

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Team-oriented attitude with a collaborative mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Minnesota (required)

Skills:

  • Strong oral advocacy and legal writing skills

  • Deep knowledge of Minnesota state and federal court procedures

  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously

  • Technologically proficient with legal practice tools and court systems

  • Professional demeanor with excellent client service and communication skills
